Extra-curricular programs for gifted students

There are many opportunities for gifted students to be involved in extra-curricular programs. These may be provided within school, or on a local, national, or even international level.

Within school programs that commonly occur include:
  • Scholarship statistics or calculus classes - usually during lunchtime of after school.
  • Maths clubs - usually during lunch time.
  • Homework clubs - while typically targeting lower end students, this can be a good chance to get some more individualised attention for gifted students.
  • Competitions focused groups - such as one working towards Mathswell.
  • General enrichment programs - these are often provided for students showing giftedness across a number of domains.
